The Asian Women’s Leadership University College (AWLUC) is a pioneering global institution established to empower women through transformative education. AWLUC is the first not-for-profit liberal arts and sciences university for women in the Southeast Asia region, inspired by the legacy of the prestigious “Seven Sisters” colleges in the United States. These institutions have produced generations of women who became trailblazers in their respective fields. AWLUC builds on this model to cultivate socially conscious leaders who will drive positive change, foster cross-cultural understanding, and advance regional and international collaboration. AWLUC envisions the education and empowerment of women leaders who will serve as catalysts for development, innovation, and meaningful societal transformation across Asia and beyond.
Rooted in this vision, the institution is dedicated to producing visionary, ethical, and socially engaged female leaders equipped to navigate and lead in an increasingly complex world. AWLUC adopts a strategic approach that blends academic excellence with real-world leadership training. Its mission is anchored in a commitment to inclusive and sustainable transformation that reflects regional realities while aligning with global imperatives. Through a multidisciplinary liberal arts and sciences curriculum, AWLUC offers academic programmes that cultivate leadership development, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Students gain historical and comparative insight alongside practical knowledge through experiential learning, including internships and community engagement. Representing diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, graduates are equipped with cross-functional competencies and technological fluency to lead with purpose and impact across the public, private, and civil sectors.
AWLUC offers foundation and postgraduate programmes that are open to both male and female students, while its undergraduate programmes are designed exclusively for women, in line with its mission to empower the next generation of female leaders.”
