INTRODUCTION
Stonyhurst International School, Penang, is a co-educational day school for pupils between the ages of 3 to 18 years. When we opened in September 2022, we welcomed nearly 400 pupils through our gates, formally marking a high point in Stonyhurst College’s 430-year history as its first sister school in Asia. By the beginning of September 2023, we had over 600 pupils enrolled, as we steadily consolidated our position as one of the top choice international schools for discerning parents across Asia.
Stonyhurst International School, Penang boasts state-of-the-art facilities, designed with 21st century teaching and learning pedagogy in mind. Students at the school have access to world class academic, theatre, music and sporting facilities, including an Astroturf field, an 8-lane swimming pool, a learner’s pool, a multipurpose hall, a dance studio, dedicated Junior and Senior School libraries, an art gallery, as well as a 500-seat auditorium.
Throughout its 430-year history, Stonyhurst has always been a springboard to a life of purpose, as it will be here too in Penang. As we guide every pupil through their own individual academic, sporting, creative, spiritual and emotional journey, we watch with great pride as our boys and girls grow to be men and women for others. Our motto, ‘Quant Je Puis’ (as much as I can), permeates our approach to education.
